Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) Strike
Due to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike all shipments to Northern and remote locations will be impacted.
If your community only has Canada Post your shipment may be paused until the strike is over. Please be aware of the shipping delay.
Shipping will be updated as soon as Canada Post resumes services.
General Service Areas -
If you live in a location that has alternative shipping options like Purolator or Canpar your order will be shipped to you following the same shipping standards as usual. Production will take 1 - 3 weeks and you will receive an email update when it has been shipped with tracking information.
Canada Post Service Areas (Northern and Remote) -
If you live in a location that Canada Post serves your order will be produced following the same standards of 1 - 3 weeks. However, if the strike is still in place, the shipping times will be impacted. Your shipping will wait until Canada Post resumes services before it can continue delivery to your community.
Options:
- Send your parcel to a friend or family who live in a Purolator service area.
- Send your parcel to a Northern shipping service such as the Northern Shopper, Arctic Buying Company, or Arctic Connection. They can send your parcel through cargo, additional costs will apply.
- If you are looking for holiday presents, you can purchase a digital gift card that you will receive via email.
Please note: we cannot guarantee when the strike will be over but hopefully it will be resolved with a fair deal by December 25th.
We cannot issue a refund due to the Canada Post strike delays. This is out of our hands and we do not have control over the shipping impacts. We are also experiencing this personally and feel the same stress, frustration and worry about our own access to shipping as a family living in a remote Northern community <3
